THE BEDHAYA DANCE

The Bedhaya Dance was older, more magic and more unique than Srimpi Dance. The dancers are 9 persons, this is a symbol of perfection. This dance tells about meeting between Panembahan Senopati (King of Mataram) with Ratu Kidul(Queen of southsea). There is mythology that when The Bedhaya danced Ratu Kidul will come.
